Restoration Method — Standard Operating Procedure

Six phases.
No shortcuts.

Every car that enters this shop follows the same sequence. The order doesn't change because the physics don't change — you can't paint over rust and call it done.

01
Phase 01

Strip & Document

Every component catalogued before the first bolt turns. Matching numbers verified, original paint codes recorded, chassis measurements taken before disassembly.

Phase duration: 2–4 weeks
02
Phase 02

Metal Fabrication

Bare metal. Rust cut out, patch panels fabricated in-house, seams welded and ground smooth. Every weld visible and intentional — no filler over rot.

MIG/TIG welding — certified
03
Phase 03

Mechanical Rebuild

Engine, transmission, suspension, and brakes rebuilt to factory tolerances or beyond. Period-correct carburetors rebuilt on the bench. Wiring looms replaced, not spliced.

All OEM or NOS specification
04
Phase 04

Paint & Body

Multiple epoxy primer coats, block-sanded flat. Color matched to factory codes or owner specification. Clearcoat depth-sanded and machine-polished to concours standard.

Sikkens urethane system
05
Phase 05

Interior & Trim

Period-correct materials sourced from original suppliers where possible. Hand-stitched leather, correct-grain vinyl, NOS chrome trim. No shortcuts behind the dash.

Connolly hide or period equivalent
06
Phase 06

Road Test & Delivery

Minimum 200 miles of break-in driving before delivery. Alignment set, timing dialed, all systems verified. Delivered with full documentation binder and spare parts kit.

From the owners.

"

They found a glovebox latch that hadn't been made since 1971. I didn't ask them to — they just did it.

The E-Type came out of their shop looking better than the factory photo in the brochure. I've driven it 4,000 miles since delivery.

I sent them a barn find with no title and a seized engine. They sorted everything — paperwork, mechanicals, paint. It's now the best car I own.
